BOARDING YOUR DOG

Bittersweet offers different boarding options for your pet, indoor/outdoor Luxury Suites, indoor/outdoor runs, and the Quiet Room.

Northstar offers Luxury Suites and indoor/outdoor runs.

Your dog will stay in a spacious size-tailored indoor/outdoor suite.  The indoor suites are separated by isolation panels for your dog's privacy.  Your dog is provided with access to his or her own private outdoor run as well.  The outdoor runs are separated by fence paneling so that your pet can visually visit with other dogs.

Your dog will enjoy all the luxuries of home-music, air conditioning, heating, and a soft blanket.  To ensure your dog’s total comfort, each run is cleaned and disinfected daily.

RESORT EXTRAS YOUR PET WILL LOVE

Playtime is available if you wish your dog to have more exercise and specialized attention.  Ball playing, Frisbee, and "fetch" are only a few activities any may include a special toy or game with your dog.  We could also spend this time brushing your dog or just sitting with them.

Group playtime- additional exercise with other 4-legged friends.

Nature Walks-  your pet will enjoy a nice lease walk around the property.  At Northstar they will explore the wooded area, and at Bittersweet they will walk through the barns to check out the horses and walk through the open pastures.

Brush & Hugs-   15 minutes of luxurious spa-like treatment.  A loving hugs massage and gentle brush out make your pet's day.

Treat Time-  Frosty Paws Ice Cream

Email photo-  Receive a photo via email of what your pet is up to while you are away.

Photo disc- A disc you can take home with you of your pet enjoying his/her activities while you are away.

BOARDING YOUR  CAT

While staying with us, your cat will be provided with a special private condo.  Each condo has a window perch for viewing the peaceful countryside, the wildlife, or napping in the sun.  Our condos are wood frames with Formica interiors and spaciously measure 3 ft. wide X 4 ft. long  X 4 ft. high.
For your cat's comfort, each condo is cleaned and disinfected daily.

We provide plenty of attention for your cat during their stay to make it enjoyable.  However, additional playtime is an option providing individual attention for your cat.  It may include toys or just wandering with us in the cattery or other secure spaces.

You are charged for the first day regardless of the time of day your pet is brought in.   Monday through Friday if you pick your pet up during the morning hours then you are not charged for that day, evening hours you will be charged for that day.  You are charged for Sunday when picking up during our 1 hour pickup in the evening.

At Northstar and Bittersweet Pet Resort, we strive to keep your pet healthy and happy.  To ensure an infection and parasite free environment for your pet, all dogs are required to have current shots for rabies, parvo-virus, distemper, and tracheo-bronchitis (bordetella).  Cats are required to have current shots for rabies and feline distemper.  A check for fleas and ticks is also made.

We are constantly alert for any health problems.  We believe that prevention through current shots is most important for your pet.

Call Bittersweet Pet Resort at 269-684-7361 or NorthStar at 574-262-9673 for pickup or drop off service Monday through Saturday.  Maybe it is just one-way service you need for a quick-start on the weekend or your vacation.  For your convenience, give us a call.
